(1/24/24) More questions are coming in about Bonds as yields continue to tick upward. NOTE: Day-to-day movement in yields has nothing to do with anything other than market dynamics. Over the long term, yields will reflect inflation, economic growth, wages, earnings, and activity in the economy. Short term, it's just noise. That being said, yields were very over bought (yields are the inverse of bond prices.) They are challenging that 50-DMA now. With the Fed slated to cut rates this year, yields will fall. Meanwhile, as the S&P has been doing fantastically, small- and mid-cap companies have remained range-bound, and international markets have performed similarly. So, all of the exuberance that's being expressed about markets currently could be a little "sus," because of a lack of participation in the markets.
