Between 1971 and 1973, Rochester, New York, was shocked to its core when three little girls were brutally raped and murdered. Residents there noted that the first name and surname of each girl started with the same initial, and the killings became known as "The Alphabet Murders" or "The Double Initial Murders." Carmen Colon, Wanda Walkowicz, and Michelle Maenza were killed in the early 1970s but they have not been forgotten.
