Katie Arnold is back on the podcast and I couldn't be more excited!!! Katie was first on the show in 2019 when we talked about her amazing book Running Home . In this episode, Katie returns to talk about her new book that is out this week, Brief Flashings in the Phenomenal World. It’s about many things—love, friendship, running, mountains, rivers—and how to how to apply timeless Zen teachings to running/endurance. Much like Running Home , Brief Flashings is not a prescriptive, how-to book but a rather personal narrative that includes wisdom and offerings that can be applied to running and life. Katie uses anecdotes from her own experiences - suffering and recovering from a devastating wilderness accident, healing, and going on to win Leadville 100 - to illustrate your unlimited potential (and resulting happiness) when you run with the mind of Zen.
