Melissa Guillen is quiet determination personified and a true marvel. In September 2020 Melissa stopped fighting gravity and decided to have hip surgery. It required a lengthy and difficult recovery that tested Melissa physically, mentally, and emotionally. She had plenty of low moments along the way but eventually found herself ready to resume running. Before she did so she took the bold step to start signing up for races.
