The Therapy for Black Girls Podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible versions of ourselves. One of the most common questions we get from the community is why can’t I find a therapist who takes my insurance. There typically isn’t a quick or easy answer to that question so we wanted to cover as many of the details as possible here. Joining us for this conversation is Dr. Cara McNulty, President of Behavioral Health & EAP, Aetna and Dr. Ajita Robinson, Grief Expert & CEO of Mastering Insurance. Dr. McNulty shared great insights about what kinds of services are offered with insurance plans, how to find the plan that might be the best fit for you, and she shared more about the services Aetna offers to assist the with mental health needs.
