It all unfolded when a 911 call came in, reporting a heated argument between a Montana resident and his spouse. The caller's distressing words revealed that the suspect was armed, possessing two handguns and a rifle. Upon arriving at the scene, Lieutenant John O'Brien was met with a harrowing showdown. As he approached the front door, a rapid exchange of gunfire erupted between him and the armed suspect. In those tense moments, Lieutenant O'Brien experienced a profound sense of tunnel vision, where time seemed to stretch infinitely.
