Having your own anxiety or OCD issues can help you be a better parent to a child with anxiety or OCD. You can often empathize with your child more than others can. You know how it feels to have struggles and can relate to them in a way others may not. You might catch things earlier and get them help faster. All of this can be invaluable for your child.
