She knew there were a lot of beautiful and colorful fish that lived in the water, but she had never gotten to see them up close before. Alice loved the beach so much that she had checked out every book from her library about sea life. Her bedroom was decorated with images of sea creatures and mermaids. Even her night light was in the shape of a dolphin. Today, Alice was extra excited to go to the beach. Her dad had given her a bright pink snorkel for her birthday and this would be the first time she would get to try it out.
