You want things to go smoothly not only for the project, but also for your relationship. Be sure everyone is on the same page as far as everyone's role in the project, but also the budget and scope of the work. Being organized is critical. We recommend having a binder for each project, full of photos, and maybe tile or wallpaper samples. Think about how you will communicate the details of the project. Can things be misinterpreted? Think about how you can mistake proof the project. What could go wrong? Think through possible communication errors so you can increase the chances of success for the project.
