PHLY Flyers Postgame: Isles win, Carolina Hurricanes trade for Mikko Rantanen

For a second straight night, the Flyers scored the game’s opening goal, but went to the first intermission trailing 2-1, and again, the New York team never looked back. Back-to-back regulation losses to division foes now have the Flyers falling further from Stanley Cup Playoff contention. The biggest news in the NHL, however, is a huge trade between the Carolina Hurricanes, Colorado Avalanche and Chicago Blackhawks which will send Mikko Rantanen to the Canes for Martin Necas and Jack Drury.
