Nothing is sacred anymore in college football, so why is important to keep the USC/Norte Dame rivalry which potentially could be done soon?

The game we have loved for so long is not the same as it used to be, with many traditions and rivalries going away. One that is still going and is scheduled to go---only through this year for now----is Notre Dame/USC. Notre Dame’s AD, Jack Swarbrick, wants to keep the rivalry going into the future. USC isn’t so sure. Per SI, the Trojans are committed to going through 2026 when they'd host the Fighting Irish in LA, but beyond that is unknown.
