About this episode
-Florida State AD Michael Alford met with the school’s board of trustees this week and addressed several things, most importantly how far Florida State (and all other schools in the ACC) are behind the SEC and B1G in terms of yearly financial gain going forward -While the conference divvied out an ACC record $36 million per member this year, it’s nowhere near the $70 million per year for SEC schools and $80 million for B1G schools coming up -The problem? Grant of rights. All ACC schools have 13 years left on their deals with conference, and leaving the conference would cost them 3 times their annual revenue—about $120 million. What can be done to catch up and not fall behind in the arms race? -How would Nebraska do if they returned to the Big 12?
