Liverpool needed a reaction after their disappointing Champions League defeat to Red Star - and they got one this afternoon as they beat basement boys Fulham 2-0 at Anfield thanks to goals either side of half-time from Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri. The comfortable victory ensured the unbeaten Reds moved back to the top of the table, for a little while at least, and equalled their best ever start to a Premier League campaign.
