Episode 627: Allie Ostrander: Steeplechase, Storytelling, and Owning Her Path

Allie Ostrander is back on the show, and this conversation was such a joy. Allie is one of the most multifaceted athletes I know—she’s a steeplechaser, trail runner, mountain runner, and content creator on YouTube, and she’s doing it all in a way that’s authentic to who she is. I admire how she’s leaned into the things that light her up instead of feeling boxed into one lane. We recorded this episode right before Allie raced the Stumptown Twilight meet, where she ran a 9:35 in the steeple—her fastest season opener yet—and took the win. She was tuning up for the U.S. Championships, and we talked about her mindset and training going into that race.
