Erik Sowinski is 3-time USA Champion and a 2016 World Indoor Bronze Medalist in the 800m. He also competed at the 2015 World Championships. Erik ran for the University of Iowa and is an 800m runner. He was previously sponsored by Nike but is now running unsponsored. Erik is well known for pacing some big races and has paced 2 world records. The first was with Yomif Kejelcha when he broke the world record in the indoor mile. The second time was with Jakob Ingebrigtsen’s indoor 1500m world record. He is the former American Record holder in the indoor 600m and that is a really fun story that he tells in this episode!
