About this episode
In this episode, Andrew discusses the essential Buddhist teachings of the Five Aggregates and Anatta ("not-self"). Rather than a philosophical or intellectual undertaking, the Buddha encourages meditators to contemplate the impermanent and impersonal nature of the mind-body process. Through our investigation of the causes and conditions that make up our direct experience, we come to see the nature of reality, that "we" (as people) are not-selfs (I.e. permanent entities that exist as nouns), but an ever changing flow of phenomena arising and passing in each moment.
