Southeast Development Area Plan Discussion & Senate Republicans Unveil Their Priorities

Despite the strong turnout, the Fresno City Council was not asked to approve the full SEDA plan during Thursday’s meeting. Instead, the mayor requested that council members select a preferred alternative for one of five agenda items and send it back to city staff for a financial analysis. The problem is not a lack of money, but years of bad spending priorities. With an $18 billion deficit on the horizon, California Senate Republicans unveiled their budget priorities to get back to basics, ensure results, and improve the quality of life for all.
