Trump And Allies Doom Latest GOP Speaker Nominee, GOP Regroups

"I have many wonderful friends wanting to be Speaker of the House, and some are truly great Warriors. RINO Tom Emmer, who I do not know well, is not one of them," Donald Trump said in a post on his platform Truth Social. Emmer, a Minnesota Republican and former head of the House GOP's campaign arm, withdrew from the race soon thereafter after failing to garner support roughly 20 firm detractors. The conference will now regroup in an effort to find a new path forward.
