The Celtics once again avoided losing a 2nd straight game for the 1st time this season with a (123-99) over the Detroit Pistons at TD Garden Thursday night. The Celtics are now 3-0 on the season against the Pistons and have won 12 straight meetings between the 2 teams. Derrick White and Payton Pritchard both hit 7 3's in the Celtics 20th win of the season. Pritchard finished with 27 and White scored 23. The Celtics had 6 players in Double Figures. ----- No Tatum. No Hauser: The Celtics were without both Jayson Tatum and Sam Hauser for Thursday's game against the Pistons. Tatum was out for the 2nd time this season but also for the 2nd time in 4 games and after the team had 4 days between games. ----- 1st-Half Nuggets: The Celtics trailed by 2 in the 1st Quarter, led by as many as 11 and ended up leading, 27-16 after the 1st Quarter.
